No and yes.

"Feminism" as a word doesn't have one single definition. There are versions of "feminism" which are logically worth calling "feminist" that are terribly sexist and ridiculous; they just exalt "womanhood" in some sense, however ugly and terrible.

But historically, certain cultures have been so sexist that the main groups of "feminists" and "egalitarians" ended up moving in the same direction, and many decent sorts have made a point of being "feminist" in the sense of advocating for women, for egalitarian reasons.

Of course now, with several different varieties of "feminism" fighting each other and going different directions, "feminist" (a bit like "socialist" or "liberal") is a less clear term.

The term egalitarian is just as tricky. There are people who see all feminism as trying to advance women at the expense of men and call themselves egalitarians as a way of disavowing feminism. While others look at egalitarianism as the true goal while still acknowledging that current gender gap that exists in all kinds of areas.
