I like all three, but Legend has always stood out to me. I adore the 'fairy' characters, love the darkness of it, swooned repeatedly over the dance with the dress, and found Mr. Cruise to be at his least obnoxious.

Plus - UNICORNS! What more could you ask for? The movie is gauzy, dreamy, glittery and gorgeous to watch.

(And I still crush hard on Una.)

God that dance. Mia Sara was gorgeous in that dress and I found Tim Curry really disturbingly sexy.

Right? He really was. He needs to grow his hair out more often.

Excuse me, are you reading my mind?

I have been having trouble trying to even put into thought what I think of Legend and you have said it just perfectly.

There's also a sense of old nostalgia for a half-remembered movie that I had for a very long time through my childhood - it must have been quite a few years before I found it in a video store.

And to add extra support - oh yes, the dance with the dress! The part that always got me was how the figure was featureless and glittery black. It came over as both creepy and mesmerising.

Heeeee!
Yay!

Yes, the dance-dress, omg! It was so perfect, so amazing. I wanted to *own* that dress so bad.

But then, I wanted to wear what Una was wearing, too, and have her hair (only not blonde)..... She was awesome.

All the flower petals and little tufty seeds that floated through the air all the time, all the flowers everywhere, the creaking trees and oh, Meg's fingernails tap tap tapping on Jack's shield and how he was kinda-sorta flirting with her to maybe get her off her guard.

And the hidden cave that Una led Jack into for the mail and sword....
*flails*

Damn, but I need to rewatch *right now*. :)

For some reason I can't help wonder if that movie helped form my love of night-time because most of the movie was so dark. I have a fantasy concept that is centred around a wild overgrown land that is permanently night-time and thinking of Legend feels like I'm thinking of the Nightlands.

Hrmmmmmmmm, that's interesting. It did seem always twilight there.
