A little, yeah. My first fandom was that perfect size where it was small, but not too small, and very active. People were always posting new content, there were a few BNFs there weren't any dictators... We got to know each other really well, and there were a bunch of rl meetups between people who were regular contributors.

I made a few lifelong friends through my first real fandom. Truly. I don't think anything will be like that again.
