Thanks. You're right. I did go or the Arwen one. I wasn't super fond of the Leia one (though I didn't realize the slits were quite that high at first), I just was thinking of maybe sticking with the Star Wars theme for costuming. And with the Arwen one, I can wear sneakers under it, which is useful for waking around cons.

I just really wish they'd make more options in larger sizes.

Hopefully next time I go I'll have an actual job and can afford a commissioned costume. I'd love something that looks actually authentic (or close). I'm still on student loans for this year, though.

Yessssss comfy footwear is a must. Especially at D*Con.

I feel you on all accounts. For all the "cosplay is for everyone" mindset among geeks, it hasn't trickled down to the merchandisers. They think costumes are only for skinny pretty people. Oh well. Have fun at D*Con!
