Also the disregard for tagging on tumblr has started translating over to other websites like Ao3 and 8tracks. Ugh.

I don't use 8tracks much, but I'm with you on AO3 tags. Tags are really important on AO3, why would they do that? Why.

Neither of those things bother me in the slightest.

WRT trash, whatever, it's just a dumb term for emphasizing jokingly how much you enjoy a given pairing.

WRT tagging, I do think there are problems with tagging, but I don't think tumblr-style descriptive tags, as silly as they can be, are a major problem, because w/e, it's just dumb but harmless. What does bug the heck out of me is when you throw approximately 3000 tags including every conceivable pairing and kink into your fic that's apparently 2000 300-word drabbles across an array of fandoms that you've thrown together for no reason. if you do this, i fucking hate you.

Yes. Trash. I hate this as a term in fandom. Be it for the fans, the characters, yourself, whatever.
