The only reason I didn't storm out of Thor/Loki fandom in disgust in 2013 is because, right at the end of it, I found this one very prolific author who loved Thor. LOVED him. It was clear through the writing that the writer thought Thor was totally beautiful and amazing, but they were also willing to put time and effort into exploring his pain and anguish from his (admittedly still stoic) perspective.

I read everything that person wrote... and then I noped the fuck out of that terrible fandom.

Jesus god this is exactly the kind of thing I want (and the kind of thing that is missing from Thor fandom). Thor fandom might be the most disappointing fandom ever to me for the sheer lack of authors who want to explore Thor's angst and pain and issues and it's the reason I could never get into that fandom in the first place.
