Well, I know I want to see more of that with Foggy in Daredevil fandom. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing Matt beat the shit out of other people and also get banged up himself, and his tears are delicious but seriously... more fic of Foggy being kidnapped and hurt, fandom.

In MCU it tends to be Bucky or Thor (though as far as I know that kind of fic is almost nonexistent for Thor, so I don't bother), in SGA it was mostly Rodney, in Teen Wolf Stiles or Derek (surprise, surprise, lol), in BioWare games it's usually the PC being comforted by their LI (and/or friends), Danny in H50 (because he's got a whole host of issues in canon that make it both realistic and emotional), in X-Men it's Charles (McAvoy has the best crying face), in Hobbit it's Bilbo, Sherlock is John, Star Trek is Kirk, etc. I am predictable.

You know I was gonna be like 'I don't really have anyone that fits this' then you listed Derek, and that would be the one. Curse him.

(I'd also try to scrounge up some hurt!Thor fic for you too but well, as you said, it is really hard to find(tho I swear I've read one...). I think it's because he's so physically durable that it doesn't get thought about much and he's the type of character to shoulder his emotional pain and push through, much the same way that Steve does).

Yea, I do understand why Thor isn't the easiest character to hurt, but...be creative, fandom. Nothing is impossible, and everyone has their breaking points. (Hell, use magic/drugs/whatever if you have to! I feel like the worst kind of person for suggesting this, lmao.)

The only reason I didn't storm out of Thor/Loki fandom in disgust in 2013 is because, right at the end of it, I found this one very prolific author who loved Thor. LOVED him. It was clear through the writing that the writer thought Thor was totally beautiful and amazing, but they were also willing to put time and effort into exploring his pain and anguish from his (admittedly still stoic) perspective.

I read everything that person wrote... and then I noped the fuck out of that terrible fandom.

Jesus god this is exactly the kind of thing I want (and the kind of thing that is missing from Thor fandom). Thor fandom might be the most disappointing fandom ever to me for the sheer lack of authors who want to explore Thor's angst and pain and issues and it's the reason I could never get into that fandom in the first place.
