I'm fairly sure something is rape the second someone revokes consent and the other person continues the sexual activity.

I'm not sure there's any continued sexual activity after someone is finished having sex with a sex worker, so.

IAWTC, but some of the commenters above seem to believe that consent can be revoked after the fact. Can't we just agree that it's a dick move?

When you consent to sex, you consent to certain acts, under certain circumstances. If a person consents to sex only under certain circumstances, and the other person deliberately doesn't met them, sex wasn't consensual.

For example, if a person agrees to have sex only if a condom is used and then their partner deceives them somehow so that they think a condom was used when it wasn't, the circumstances required for consent weren't met. This is legally considered rape by deception.

Similarly, if someone agrees to have sex with someone else but ONLY if they'll pay them for it, and the person is not planning to pay them, it's rape by deception.

So, if I say I'm in a bar, and say I'm a pilot and am only in town tonight, would you like to bone? And you, with a hard on for pilots says sure, is it still rape by deception if I'm only a flight attendant using a pick-up line who has no knowledge of your thing for pilots?

Fraud, theft and rape by deception/fraud. Which is a thing.

There are two types of prostitute

1- the type that does it because they like it (very rare)
2- the type that does it because they need to (most of them)

If you're sleeping with type 1, then everything you do is fine, unless you refuse to pay afterwards.

If you're sleeping with type 2, then because she has no real choice in the matter, everything you do is by default rape. You're abusing your financial power to force her into it. You pay her for her not going to the police about it.

The trouble is, it is part of the system that you can't tell which one is which, so if you're willing to role the dice and sleep with a prostitute you need to be aware of the fact that you may be a rapist.
