Lets see, a boat driven by a drunk lawyer cut off the arm of a teenage girl, and he's trying the best he can to avoid a lawsuit.

And there is still always a lot of talk about our Olympic bid (a horrible, horrible idea).

Ouch. Fingers crossed the Olympic bid doesn't work out. I was living in Chicago when there was talk of something like that and I was not happy about it.

I really hope Boston doesn't get it both for moral reasons and because it would be horrible for our city (where on Earth would they put it, the subway system is already cramped and unlikely to be upgraded enough to handle that much extra traffic, and that many tourists would make things so much more difficult for residents in such a compact city).

I was unhappy about it for similar reasons, though I know Chicago isn't quite so compact. There was a G8 summit there when I lived there and that was bad enough in terms of trying to get around the city. I can't imagine what the Olympics would do. And I have moral issues with it as well.
