I think trans-racial could only possibly be a thing if you're adopted and your family is a different race than you. I knew someone who was black (light-skinned black, possibly had one white birth parent, but would never be mistaken for white) and adopted by a white family, and said she thought of herself as white until she was well past her teens. But that must have meant she doesn't anymore, so it might be something you grow out of.

In the context of adoption: yes transracial is a thing.

In the context of someone feeling like they're x race, it is not.
