This here is the reason Mad Max fans are so irritating to me. Any little criticism of their precious movie and they start foaming at the mouth BUT EQUALITYYYYYYY LOL DOES YOUR MOVIE HAVE THAT?????

It wasn't that special, folks. And saying Max having no characterization being the point is really fucking dumb.

If y'all were so dedicated you would've tried to save the movie from being a box office disaster (300 mil worldwide, it's barely hanging on there) but instead you just have to annoy people online getting mad about why they don't like it.

PS I enjoyed it. But the overhype is really irritating. Here come the obligatory "You let other people influence your thoughts on movies?!?!?!?!?!?!" replies.

What could they have done besides seeing the movie? Many Mad Max fans I know have seen it multiple times already.

Honestly though probably the only other thing they could do is try to get more people to see it, but that'd involve defending it and talking it up, which ayrt things is annoying and shouldn't be done, so who the fuck knows?

What logic is this. Most MMFR fans have seen it at least 2+ times plus the movie did well for being an R-RATED flick and has critical backing. Of course JW is gonna outsell it for nostalgia + dinosaurs + kid/family factor. Age of Ultron did better than Mad Max too and no one in their right mind is calling that trainwreck of a movie a masterpiece.

And Max having no character (which FYI is a fucking trope, ever heard of Ishmael from Moby Dick?? This isn't new.) in FR doesn't negate the rest of the characterization of Furiosa, Nux, and the Wives in the movie. If you want to play it that way, then half of Jurassic World's characters had ziltch. Tell me, wtf was the point of Claire's assistant besides her brutal death? Or Barry's character outside of being Owen's helper? Likewise the important people in Jurassic World outside of Dr. Wu are laughable and as deep as a puddle.

Jurassic World is a popcorn movie and I enjoy it for what it is, but shitting on MMFR isn't going to change the fact that JW is a brainless popcorn movie. You want a smart movie with dinosaurs that has depth and is comparable to Fury Road, go wank off to Jurassic Park like everyone else is.
