Tony/Rhodey (MCU): the sand dune scene in IM1. Instantly and forever. From Rhodey opening with the worst joke in history, to him pulling Tony into his arms. Sold forever.

Ivan/Victoria (RED): I was shipping it from the moment we connect the dots between her story to Sarah and his story to Frank, but then the gate scene happened and I was really really shipping it. "Perhaps I could be of assistance?" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpKhobkTOyY) Most ridiculously romantic rescue ever.

Spock/McCoy (ST:TOS): more or less from their opening salvos at each other, but the hand-holding scene in "Miri" sure helped a lot as well, and the staggered 'Good luck' from "The Immunity Syndrome" sealed the deal. Also the movies. All of them, but 'Search for Spock' and 'Voyage Home' have to be winning some slash awards somewhere.

James/John (Sanctuary): all of their tense negotiations and teasing during the trials for the Source Blood (John constantly getting up in James' face for teleportation purposes also helps), but that moment where John makes it plain that he couldn't leave James to die, and James' face when John more gently takes his shoulder to get them both out. That moment. (Though this one a couple of seasons later also doesn't hurt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47j2Ak7Rb08).

So agreed on James/John. I threesomed them with Helen so hard. But for just them, my first shippy moments were in Source Blood.

I shipped most of the Five together in various combinations, with the possible exception of Nigel in that he appeared to get out while the getting was good and got himself a wife instead. James/John, James/John/Helen, John/Helen, Helen/Nikola, little bit of Nikola/John and Nikola/James ... They're really damned polyamorous on Sanctuary, so they are. James and John really sprung out at me in the S1 finale, though. Talk about intensity.

That Iron Man scene was the only reason I cared that Don Cheadle was taking the role.

Their chemistry did change a bit with the casting change. Still there, though. The fight in the botanical gardens in IM2 had a fair bit of it, for example, and all the faces Rhodey makes in the background of Tony's grandstanding don't hurt either.

Those are all moments that made me ship Spock/McCoy too! Although I think the single scene that made me start shipping them was their interaction in Mirror, Mirror, where McCoy saves the evil Spock, and then gets the mind meld.

The mind meld actually didn't do much for me, mostly because it's not Spock, but the moment before that, McCoy almost getting himself stranded in hostile territory because he can't let even another universe's Spock die ... yeah, that didn't hurt. I actually have a list of my favourite Spock/McCoy moments somewhere. The apology/argument in 'Bread and Circuses', "You've got a good bedside manner" in 'The Empath', McCoy freaking out in defense of Spock in 'Plato's Stepchildren', pretty much all of 'All Our Yesterdays', a good chunk of 'Journey to Babel' (the teddy bear conversation is amazing), their interactions while Kirk is missing in 'Tholian Web' ... Season one is a little thin, though there are moments like the hand-hold in 'Miri' and McCoy defending Spock to Kirk in 'The Menagerie', but then in S2 and S3 the shippiness got traction behind it, and before you know it Spock is literally giving McCoy his soul in the movies.

Ah. Yes. Ahem. I ship them? I ship them lots. 'Miri' is the earliest moment for me, and I think they clicked as a forever ship in 'Immunity Syndrome', but there are absolutely no shortage of moments to point at ;)

Tony/Rhodey honestly snuck up on me, there was no BAM moment when I realised that I shipped them, I just came out of AoU with the knowledge that I did but that scene has always been a favourite of mine, just the obvious relief on Rhodey's face and the hug man.

I have a thing for characters who are each other's safe places. That sand dune scene hit my buttons but good.
