Abrams version of Trek is all-around fucking awful so this is really no surprise. There isn't a single redeeming quality about either film.

Agreed. Also, poor Porthos. What Scotty did was not cool. :(

(Anonymous) 2015-07-12 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and that was supposed to be funny. :(

Man, I'm glad I don't have a stick up my ass. It seems this causes you a lot of frustration. You guys are as bad as 'the book was better' elitist. You can't enjoy two things separately, you gotta get offended and angry that everything wasn't up your standards. Talk about first world problems.

Nimoy will always be my one and only Spock, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't think the new Star Trek movies were fun and entertaining.

I was not crazy about the 2nd movie (mainly because--are you kidding, they're alREADY cannibalizing the original movies? Also, I find BC's Khan boring as hell). But I LOVED the '09. Loved it, and I say this as a TOS fan. Funny, clever, quick, great idea to reinvigorate the franchise. And I sobbed during the opening sequence.

You remind the guys who comment on every article about the reboot saying that JJ&co should die and that your 'sources' told you there is no third movie in the making it's just a conspiracy by bad robot?
I bet you guys will be the first in line to go watch the next movie when it comes out just to complain about it.
Get a life!

Of course the tos elitists love the fan productions which are just AWFUL.

Are there really people claiming this? Cuz lol, I work in the film industry in Vancouver, and it's definitely happening.

Yeah they're fun, but certainly not Star Trek. :(

Hear, hear. Unmitigated tripe.
