Maedhros. Very much Maedhros, to the point where people often forget the horrible stuff he did after being tortured.

Celebrimbor to a certain extent.

Sometimes Sauron where people treat his relationship with Melkor as abusive.

Elrond.

Maglor. When the happiest possible interpretation of the ending for a character is one where they drown themselves you know you have a woobie.

Fili and Kili.

Let's see...

Avengers: Tony Stark. Bucky Barnes. I don't have a favorite because I love hurt!Natasha fanfic and I can never find it. I'm surprised that Bruce didn't make the list.

Daredevil: Matt Murdock in a big way. He's my favorite.

Hannibal: Will Graham. I'm not surprised by that. I don't really like woobie!fic in Hannibal though because it's always Hannibal supplying the comfort and I think it's a little weird.

Supernatural: Dean, mostly definitely. Sam and Cas less so. It's completely expected. I always hope for that FBI agent to show up and be everyone's comforting best friend and I'm always disappointed.

MCU: Tony Stark and Loki. I get Loki, but Tony Stark just annoys me (as a Steve Rogers fan who ships Stony)
ST:AOS: Kirk (which as a McCoy fan makes me sad)

Faramir used to be pretty popular. I'm a little surprised that characters like Finrod, Brandir, and Daeron aren't bigger woobies.

Dishonored: Daud is my least fave and was unexpected.

Stab Daud and throw him off a tower, he doesn't deserve to be a woobie.


Tony stark is my fave woobie, within reason, cause I like seeing him fucked up

I finally got some friends to read Animorphs after having literally no one to talk to about these books since I was a kid. So I reread the series. Twice. Once each when each of these two friends started reading (I started off just going along with them so I would know what they had gotten to and then I just kept going without planning to).

Anyway, I'm loving Tobias and his books more than I did when I was a kid. I'm expecting one of my friends to love him too because she loves woobies.

Pearl in Steven Universe.

England in Hetalia, although I prefer woobie Italy (sorry Italy; he gets enough of it in canon).

Zelgadis in Slayers? Not sure.

Penny Dreadful: lol, probably most of the main cast. Caliban is prime woobie material though I haven't really seen people woobify him in the fandom considering he pulls a lot of awful shit. Viktor could probably be one as well (and he also pulls a lot of awful shit). And Brona too. Vanessa has a lot of woobie material but I don't think she would appreciate being considered one because for all her suffering, she holds her own well and I'm glad no one woobifies her.

Black Sails: Billy Bones, maybe? He's the most morally upright of the characters I think, and shit does not go well for him in between seasons.

Downton Abbey: Edith just cannot catch a break. Although my interest in her storyline in the last season pretty much dwindled to almost nothing.

In FIM fic, the most common woobies are Scootaloo, Sunset Shimmer, sometimes Trixie, and a metric fuckton of near-identical OCs (typically human or Changeling.) The only one I really like is Trixie, because she's got too much of a backbone to just blubber to herself and be helped by others. She's almost always at least partially involved in solving her own problems.

Rainbow Dash is the chew toy, which is a bit different. She's the designated victim when someone needs to be hurt or killed, but she doesn't get a lot of comfort or positive attention for it. I think she's such a common target because she seems foolish enough to get into bad situations and strong enough to withstand them.

Favourite woobies: Buffy Summers, movieverse!Steve Rogers, and comicverse!Rogue. Those three are my Holy Trinity of Angst.

I also have a weakness for Homestuck fic where Eridan gets woobified, even though he's a dick in canon. Same with Kaiba in YGO fic. I like to see them suffer. >:]

House MD: House himself. I think it's just that he gets hurt so often in canon but the canon rarely focuses a ton of attention on the aftereffects.

For Kingsman I guess that would be Eggsy. Makes sense to me, but after that film I feel like Harry deserves it too.

As far as Dragon Age: Inquisition goes it would probably be Dorian. Again, an obvious choice, but a good one.

I haven't been in the Sense8 fandom enough to know, but I feel like it would be Nomi. It should be Nomi, anyway. And maybe Riley?

Tony Stark and Loki are the most prominent woobies in my fandom with Bucky being a very close third runner up(the other two have just had more time over him to accumulate fic).

And personally I am very, very partial to hurt!Bucky, can't help it and I love fic where Steve helps him through shit. But I'd love more hurt!Steve as well, either focusing on the fact that he really isn't alright or getting injured and Bucky caring for him. I just like seeing the two of them take care of each other, it's a huge weakness of mine.

But for another woobie that's even less common: Thor. He basically gets nothing because Loki eats up all the woobie points and while I do adore Loki I find it hard to feel that sorry for him because he causes all of his own problems, whereas all of Thor's problems(bar like one, maybe) are Loki's fault and to me there just isn't enough focus on that.

Also I'm not sure what the fandom's like atm but I was very partial to hurt!Fili in The Hobbit fandom but there was never much of that either, it was all Kili. :|
