Have fun making min wage the rest of your life, that is if you aren't a leech off your parents (or the government) forever instead .

Re: So...

lololololololololol

Did you go to college, end up in a minimum paying job, and now live your life full of bitterness?

Re: So...

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
That's not how reality works mr bitter

Re: So...

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Who hurt you, bb?

Re: So...

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
My sister has a Master's Degree and makes minimum wage. It's irrelevant.

Re: So...

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh fuck you. I went to college, got my degree, and now I can't find ANY work ANYWHERE. Not even in minimum wage bullshit jobs.

Have fun reassuring your fragile ego by convincing yourself you're so much better tonight, all by your lonesome

You must live in an elitist, white-collar bubble, anon. You should expand your horizons sometime. Visit an oil field or something.

IDK I would say this got a healthy response. 7/10 IMO.

Agreed

Re: So...

(Anonymous) 2015-07-24 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
But it's such common wank. Boring imo.

Wish that I had a job like yours!

Re: So...

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a college dropout. I'm finally going back this year to finish a degree, but my department just hired a bunch of people to the same job I have. The guy coming to our location has his Masters, and he wasn't the only one hired with an advanced degree to an entry level position. The job market sucks so badly that people take whatever they can get. Doesn't make them losers. Everybody's gotta eat somehow.

I mean I'm going to college but I'm an art major so you're probably describing my future lmao. College doesn't guarantee a good job.

Re: So...

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
but why?

can't you do that learning on your own?

Re: So...

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
DA

Way to be completely dismissive of arts education, anon.

Re: So...

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Eh, looking at their art, it looks like they haven't learned much.

The reason we have tools is so we can do things more effectively, more easily, and more efficiently than we could do without them.

This is, like, a basic principle of human life.

Haha, I have been asked this by so many people. This and "well what are you going to do with that?" It gets annoying after a while and is usually asked by people who want to criticize my choices (not saying you are, just that there's a lot of concern trolls out there).

Because I wanted to. Because my age cut the tuition in half so I'm gaining very little debt and I wanted to take advantage of that. Because my school does a good job networking and meeting prospective employers (even though haha, obviously jobs are hard to come by in this field). Because I learn better when I'm forced to do it. Because I wanted credentials behind my name when I start working on character art and illustration. Because my first go round with college was for something I cared very little for so I wanted to experience majoring in something I actually wanted to do.

I'm getting my master's in history, and it's my future, too. Bonus debt! high five

High five! I love history. I was pretty tempted to minor in it for a while.
