Fruits Basket. There was a lot of interesting things in it. and the Sohma family fascinated me with their dysfunction.

OMG it was. It was kind of the reason I'm so fascinated with fictional dysfunctional families and exploring that in writing.

The family was fascinating. some people say Tohru was a Mary Sue, but int the manga at least she was a fascinating perfectionist mess. I dunno about you but a girl who lives in a tent so as not to trouble her family members probably has something going on.

In some ways she was actually kind of relate-able in her anxiety.

I don't even like Fruits Basket that much, but I still bought the whole series and reread bits and pieces every now and then. It's a great concept with fascinating and engaging characters.

It did have the most psychologically fascinating,complex characters
