Wait, who's the beautiful, confident, successful woman that we're not suppose to think is a bitch? Rayna?

I loooved the swearing, I thought everyone in this movie pulled it off so well.

Idk, I realize a lot of people hate the word pussy as an insult and I've tried so hard to also hate it but damn, it makes me laugh when women use it. It's such a double standard though because I hate it when men use it.

It's Morena Baccarin's character, isn't it? When they're in the restaurant near the beginning?

spoilers for this movie!

OOOOH right. I forgot about her, haha. She wasn't really presented as a bitch until her double cross though, right? I thought we were suppose to find Susan's jealousy of her petty and dumb (and funny). Or is it the fact that she was a double agent at all that was the problematic issue?

idk, I've only watched the movie the once time when it first came out.

I've only seen the movie once myself so my memory's a bit hazy, but I seem to remember Susan and Nancy calling her a bitch behind her back in that scene and I figure it's the word itself that OP objects to. Presented as an acceptable way for the hero to refer to someone, and all. If that's the case, I agree with OP, although I guess one could also argue that their jealousy is petty, like you said, and getting past those feelings is part of their character development.

I don't think she was presented as a bitch, but Susan and Nancy's vicious hatred of her due entirely to her "perfection" seemed to me to encourage the whole "women are jealous and catty with other women" for no reason. I thought the whole point of that would be that Susan would realize she was being petty or that Karen (still giggling that her name was Karen Walker btw) would turn out to be awesome and helpful or whatever, but then she turned out to be a double agent and Jude Law's character killed her, so it comes across uncomfortably as though we were supposed to think Susan was in the right for hating her for absolutely no reason.

I thought it was going to be subverted when Karen remembered Susan and Nancy's names after they said she wouldn't remember their names. Kinda disappointing it didn't follow through.

And by the way, the fart joke in that scene did not add anything at all.
