Depends on the context, but that's the oldest troll trick in the book on anon boards, so it's hardly shocking. If two comments are similarly worded, happen near together in time, and especially if they are OUTRAGED at something that does not seem worth freaking out about, I'm likely to assume it's the same person. Especially when it's outlandishly dickish behavior, like the one who stalks users and whatnot.

nayrt - I get that, but...

1) a short comment is barely enough text to establish speech patterns
2) thanks to the internet and the pervasiveness of pop culture, a lot of peoples' speech patterns are getting more homogenized
3) the majority of the comments on FS are usually posted within a 2-3 hour window after the secret goes up and with over a thousand members, the odds of more than one person posting close together in time is not that uncommon
4) it's pointless to measure other peoples' behavior based on what YOU believe is freakout-worthy, because that will vary from person to person. Pick any semi-controversial topic and you'll find all sorts of opinions, many of them stronger than you might think is warranted. No doubt there are topics you feel strongly about that others would judge unnecessary, too.

I'll grant you the user-stalking, however.

Can't speak to the rest of it, but the time thing doesn't make sense here. When the posts go up there is usually a pretty damn short window when all the posts are piling in, to the point where just hitting refresh is enough to see a list grow, 'cause everyone is posting real quick. Then it pretty much cools down after a couple of hours, until someone posts something interesting and different then you get a fresh flurry of comments as the people who missed out on the first round pile in and try to get on the second.
