one day I started eating Skittles in pairs (always different flavors together) and for some reason never stopped

I sometimes do this with skittles since I like experiencing the flavour combination. More than two makes it a lot less unique and everything starts to get kind of muddy and same-tasting pretty quickly, but if you stick to pairs it tends to remain discernible.

As a child, I sorted my M&M's by color and ate them based on a personal ranking system of colors. I still eat the green ones last.
