The feminist/MRA wank is silly when you consider how Nux and Max are the ones who save the day at the end or prove to be the biggest heroes.

Not someone who's engaged with the fandom, but uh, I thought Furiosa was unrelentingly badass and proactive throughout. I didn't get a sense that she was less so than Nux and Max?

Because if she had her way she would have ended up starving to death in the desert with a bunch of old ladies.

It was Max's idea to turn the crew around and take over Joe's area.

Needing help and getting it doesn't undermine your heroism. Furiosa was the one who got this entire war rig train going in the first place and kept it moving to the end. If she didn't exist, where would the other characters be?

They do it in ways that are atypical for traditional masculine heroes. Much of what makes this movie feminist isn't so much the female characters (although that's a major factor, of course) but how the male heroes behave and how they interact with the female characters.

You tried but you just come off as someone who didn't watch the movie and doesn't understand feminism.

You get a C+

(Anonymous) 2015-07-28 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think even feminists understand feminism.

Keep trying m80.
