I don't mean characters can't have flaws. I mean the goodness of a character is subjective and I couldn't name a character who I could say without a doubt everyone thinks is definitively a good person

Well, I mean, a sufficiently motivated person can always come up with an argument, but I think a lot of these get to the point that any reasonable person would agree

But an extreme word like unambiguous doesn't mean "within reasonable bounds" or it'd open up the field to a whole lot more?

Well, my point is more that from a strict enough perspective, almost nothing can be described as 'unambiguous'. So there's inherently some degree of wriggle room if you're going to allow the word to have any real use and meaning.
