(Anonymous) 2015-07-30 02:08 am (UTC)(link)Note that I have nothing against such characters (Tony Stark) or even if you want to interpret other characters this way (such as Bucky or Natasha).
But it just doesn't work with Steve.
This is guy who, by his own admission, barely knew how to speak to women. Who looks completely lost when kisses are planted on him. Who is uncomfortable with public displays of affection.
And even if you think that he could have had experience with men (since the whole not knowing how to speak with women doesn't apply there), there's still the issue of the guy waiting for the right partner and being terribly awkward.
It just doesn't work. He doesn't have to be a monk or anything but...he's no Tony Stark either.
