But more seriously, there has been plenty of people pissed off about the fact the writers keep relying on rape-by-deception for drama. (Grimm did the same thing this past season, too, wtf). When I heard about S4a it was the final nail in the coffin. I stopped after S3 and I don't regret it.

Seriously. I really enjoyed the first season, and when I was talking to an RP friend who actually roleplays characters from the show about whether I should pick it up again I got a very vehement "No. Do not. Only disappointment waits for you if you do."

First off, I like Regina. She's my favorite character. And I'm still pissed that you put rape in quotes. She raped Graham.

Second, though, I actually agree with you. I wish there was as much outrage because both were rape.

Maybe because we've all been on this ride before? Zelena's just carrying on a proud family tradition by this stage. Regina got there first. When the show keeps manufacturing drama worse than a soap opera, it's hard to get as worked up about it, especially when we've already had this exact drama earlier on. Second verse, same as the first.

There also seems to be the fact that they are trying to redeem Regina and so the rape is glossed over. Zelena is still evil, now if they try to redeem her then it's a comparison.

As far as both, they are rape - no quotes needed.

Probably because no one was upset about immorality and only bothered by Regina raping Graham because they found Graham hot, so...poor woobie!

No one gives a shit what happens to Rumple because he's done more evil than anyone. People wouldn't shut up about Zelena violating Robin, though. Don't know where you were for all those outrages.

A lot of people who were disgusted by Regina's rape of Graham stopped watching before season 4. Not necessarily because of the rape, because the entire show's gone downhill. I used to love OUAT; now I just wonder why it still has an audience. I think most who are still watching only care about their favorite characters; the plot's so convoluted and ridiculous, no one cares about it anymore.

Why is rape in quotes? Regina didn't "rape" Graham. She raped him. Period. Regina Mills is a rapist.

The only reason there isn't more outcry over Zelena raping Robin and sexually assaulting Gold is because the only people who are still watching this horrible show are Captain Swan fans who give zero shits about any storyline that doesn't involve CS and Regina stans who refuse to admit that a woman can rape a man because then they would have to admit that their adored Regina is a fucking rapist.

I know Rumple fans were upset about Zelena, as much because there wasn't a lot of focus on the aftereffects, as that it happened in the first place, but then, it's OUAT. They don't do emotional resonance or follow through any more. It seemed like only Regina fans were upset about Robin, though, because since they stuck him with Regina, recast the actor, and retconned an honorable man into one who would cheerfully sleep with his wife's murderer (and I'm talking Regina, here, not Zelena) I don't think Robin has many fans of his own, anymore.
