Weekend Plans?

My sister got a job (yay!) so tomorrow we have to go shopping to get work clothes (boo!). But hopefully we will get to eat somewhere nice. Other than that, my weekend is going to be pretty boring.

What are you all doing?

Nothing much. Going to go to see Antman tomorrow and then probably go to a bar somewhere. I got a massage today which was amazing. Best one I've ever had. On Monday the job searching and packing up my apartment starts, but I'm taking this weekend off.

I've got a 8K race tomorrow, if I can do an hour I'll be happy but I don't have that much hope. Then I spend the weekend looking at assisted living places for my dad. Bad thing is I'm doing this by myself as my brother is currently traveling. But we need to look now as dad might be moving into one next month. Life.

Damn! I'll be happy to be able to do a 1k race one day (I am doing C25K).

Life does suck sometimes, well I expect there are plenty places online to give you advice for choosing an assisted living place. I wish you luck.

Going to help my SIL decorate my niece's and nephew's rooms in anticipation that my BIL will be getting them back from his batshit crazy soon-to-be exwife. (SIL is BIL's sister, not new wife/gf).

Birthday on Sunday. Saturday we have contractors working on our house so I'll be keeping out of the way.

I'm hoping to get a lot of writing done. I have two writing challenges that I signed up for and they're both due in mid-August. One is written and I've gotten it back from the betas but work went crazy and I haven't gotten back to them or looked at that fic. So, it might need a lot of polishing. (I feel really bad about not getting back to them yet.)

The other story is turning out to be much more of a monster. I thought it would be a short story but it's not even halfway through so I'm a little panicked that I won't get it done in time (and it desperately needs a beta but I don't have one for this fandom).

No idea yet. Probably more housework! I have a lamp to paint, yet more house repairs to get through, stuff to dig out of the front garden, a bunch of yard waste that needs taking care of...

And then my sister in law has her due date on the 4th and has requested me so I will head up there for emotional support, cooking, child wrangling, and any other thing that is required of me.

I WAS going to go to the snow but the rain last night has given the nearest mountain NO snow cover >:(

Hoping to go tomorrow after classes. Should arrive around 3pm so i think an hour of snow time could be fun.

I'm going out of town for my grandpa's funeral.

I was at Gen Con the last two days, and I wish I hadn't bought my four-day badge because I only ended up going for two days. But it is what it is. I'm more disappointed in what now feels like a waste of money than anything else, I mean missing the con isn't great but family is much more important right now.

We're leaving tomorrow morning.
