Can we also just say at this point that a lot of the pro-gun narratives used to respond to these events are just provably wrong at this point

I'm not saying that all guns should be banned. But I think we can pretty well conclude at this point that, no, the people in theaters would not have been safer if they had had guns, for fuck's sake.

There are obviously still relevant questions and challenges about gun restrictions - how do we do them in a way that is most effective for improving public safety, how do we do them in a way that preserves private gun ownership for IE hunting, etc etc. But for God's sake I am sick and tired of all the people who flip a shit at the very mention of any regulation on guns. For god's sake, have a bone of rationality.
