I happened to catch an episode of HOUSE recently, from early 2008, and it was already looking dated. I had also forgotten a lot of its signature features. The inside-the-body CGI animations never really looked very good, but they looked even worse. And then there was the ubiquitous mellow pop song played over a silent montage of the team working intensely/patient and family being sad. This was also during the period of time when EVERY leading lady on tv had gigantic blunt bangs. Definitely a dated style.

Interestingly, I think that House looked less dated in the first season. Discarding the bad animation, the cinematography and lighting was more creative. Intensely orange...sure...but still...

Whoops, that's an error on my part. It was apparently from fall 2006; right at the beginning of season 3.

It did have notably good lighting and such in the first 3 or so seasons. That same distinctive golden hue was also present on the first ~4 seasons of Bones. Both FOX shows, probably some overlap in crew.

Probably so. The House pilot was shot in black and white, which is why the colors appear so odd.
