There are more dudes than we think, and since everyone is assumed to be female, they fly under the radar a lot. Both unintentionally and intentionally

Same with people from the US vs. people not from the US, white people vs. non white people

My thought process is that most of the dudes who post here are, one way or another, pretty deeply uncomfortable with what you might call hegemonic masculinity

And so there's a certain... I'm not sure the word - comfort? freedom? relief? - in being detached from those structures

I have no feelings about anime but I notice they almost always start with an /a/ meme and only a few users keep up with them

I think there's just one fucker who keeps posting shit from /a/, and the people who reply to that are mostly the 4channy dudes, and the set of actual anime fans & discussions is kind of a separate (tho overlapping) thing
