If you think they just didn't want to play with you anymore, and you don't want to make things awkward, keep it to yourself. If you're genuinely curious and not worried about potential awkwardness, don't go sleuthing with other people or be all "YOU LIED! I'm calling you out!!", just go to that person and say "Hey! I noticed you're back on WoW! Quitting didn't take, huh?" and go from there.
