Orrr we could be putting them down and therefore breeding the inclination out of the population. I mean, it's not pleasant to think about, but sometimes things should be done for the good of humanity. Think about all the rehab for addicts, and how hard it is to beat alcoholism or drug addiction, and how often they relapse. How many chances are we going to give pedophiles to screw up before they're finally cured?

True, it won't happen overnight, but society would be changed for the better if we had a more permanent solution for such a problem. I mean, a lot of these are people who think "pedophile" is a legitimate sexual orientation, not something that needs to be cured. Rehab isn't going to work for them, they're going to be repeat offenders, they'd learn to work the system and fly under the radar if they did get caught once.

So what you're saying is you want a final solution for the pedo question. Do I have that right?

If the question is "Should we allow pedophiles the freedom to continue preying on the innocent until we're satisfied that they've learned their lesson and promise not to do it anymore?" then yes, my final answer is, "No."

I mean, it's probably an orientation in the same way that people who have a thing for redheads or w/e is, but definitely not a desirable one.

I even doubt it's possible to "cure" it entirely since what you're attracted to is very hard, if not impossible, to control. Obviously you can control if you act on it or not, however. As a society, we might be able to move away from the sexualization of young teen idols and other stuff that promotes it, but there's still always gonna be a demand somewhere.

There's also the issue of some adults with autism having pedophiliac tendencies since kids are less threatening and safer to them. Like what do you even do in the situation? You have an adult who isn't fully functioning and isn't in good control of their emotions doing stuff that's harmful to other people.

In the case of mental illness without malicious intent, adults who are not capable of not preying on children can be isolated from children to reduce the probability of an encounter. That's not the same as fully functioning adults who seek out victims, know that society condemns their actions, and that there will be punishment if they are caught.

What about internet access though?

How exactly? Obviously blockers aren't effective and blocking it outright is near impossible, if not a huge disadvantage when so much of our world is digitally geared. Only thing I can think of is monitoring, but that'll only catch it after that act has happened.
