Probably because she was graphically raped on screen. You can't even pretend it was anything but rape (like a lot of people do with more ~ambiguous~ situations). That would probably turn a lot of people that don't have straight up rape kinks off the ship.

It was actually a lot tamer than what I heard from people. At least it panned away so we didn't even see it. The part with Theon getting tortured for an extended amount of time made me a lot more uncomfortable.
It's kinda sad that there is this double standard that torture that results in mind breaking someone is not ranked as bad with some people.

Both rape and torture are equally disgusting and horrifying. I wouldn't ever ship Sansa or Theon with Ramsey.

Theon was more graphically raped, tortured, and dismembered on screen. A LOT more. Not gonna lie, I consider people who are fine with Theon's treatment but flounced out of the fandom at the Black Wedding to be total hypocrites.

The one rebuttal I have is that a primary point of contention was that they took a relatively minor character from the book and gave it to Sansa for the purpose of giving Theon angst. .

There wasn't much if any backlash over Cersei's walk as that was from the source.

"graphically raped on screen"

Did you actually watch the episode or are you just reading Tumblr cliffnotes?

Sansa was raped, there's no doubt about it, but we do not see it at all. Ramsay rips her dress from the back, we see no skin on skin, and the focus is on Theon while she gets taken.

I'm not saying it isn't rape, like you are likely to accuse me of for this defense. But you can't say she was "graphically raped" when she wasn't.
