Re: Neckbeards, MRA, TERFs, SJW, bronies?

Yes, used to be friends with what would be labelled TERFs and SJWs, and no, they don't live up to the stereotypes (gosh!). Yes, there's some rabidity on certain opinions but they're well-rounded people who are nice to people they like, have a sense of humour (varies in quality), and have a self-reflexive sense of their own beliefs. The trolls imitating them or reporting on them make out like they have no sense of irony or self-awareness.

OP here

Sorry, I think you misinterpreted me. I wasn't trying to insult anyone by labeling them anything.

The question was more regarding whether these supposedly 'stereotypical' people existed at all or these stereotypes had any RL basis... or whether it's only people internet strawmanning each other like they usually do.

AYRT I didn't think you were trying to insult anyone, was answering by saying in my experience, not really much of the stereotype. It's cool :)

OP here

Ok :)

I was afraid from the tone of your first sentence that you'd assumed I thought they were true which is the opposite of what I was going for, lol.

AYRT Aren't we asking whether they're like their stereotypes? In my case, no.

Actually, I've been responsible for educating some of them about transgenderism and changing their minds =)
