Felicity from Arrow. S2 - most of S4, she wore REALLY skimpy, tight clothing. Totally OOC for a nerdy office girl. Gorgeous, smart, but doesn't know what's appropriate office wear?

I haven't seen this show but I bet it's less about poor characterization and more about the fact that attractive women on TV are usually dressed in tight, skimpy clothing regardless of what job they're supposedly doing. Look at all the female detectives on every single crime show who are somehow going to work in push up bras and cleavage-revealing v-necks, every single day. It's kind of hilarious, really.

While I agree with you that it's common, I think that means it's just poor characterization across the board!
