I don't think Elsa is gay. I don't think there was anything in the movie that could define her sexuality one way or the other. I just don't think Disney is going to risk their new cash cow to give her a girlfriend, either.

Seriously. I mean I am fine with the fanon but I think the most we will get out of Disney is her not getting a love interest in the sequel. They ain't making her gay.

I think that may be a stereotype about ice themed germanic ladies.

(...or it could be a throwaway in skin horse that looks like a stereotype.)

Is there any specific reason people think Elsa is gay? I would be down with it, but I didn't notice any reference to her sexuality at all.

I doubt that Disney would go that route.

Apparently, lots of people heard "Let It Go" as a metaphor for coming out.

Hmmmm.

I have no issue with people taking it that way (it even sounds like a neat interpretation), but I don't think that makes it canon.
