Agreed with all of these!

I have nothing against "secretly evil" in theory, but most of the time it feels like people don't understand that a good person can have bad sides or done something bad without being evil (or vice versa).

It gets ridiculous when they take the character attempting to do good only for it to later end up badly/make things worse as proof that they're evil. Er, no, typically it just means they can't look into the future or had bad judgment.
