(Anonymous) 2015-08-29 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)But, you know, I'm sure that's not going to lead to any problems in terms of shaping society's conception of rapists as creepy loser weirdos, or lead anyone to discount the possibility of someone who is well-regarded and socially skilled also being a rapist. I can see no possible harm coming from this, so it's all good.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-29 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)Gonna assume that you skipped a 'not' there?
there is nothing wrong with a woman (or even other men) treating every creepy socially weird loser as a potential rapist
Sure, but to more or less the same as any other man. It would be silly to do otherwise, because - as previously mentioned - creepy weirdness is not actually a good proxy for proclivity to rape.
The onus is always on the creepy weirdo to adjust their behavior, not for anyone else to tolerate them.
Yes, in the sense that creepiness is bad and a bad way of interacting with the world and makes people uncomfortable in and of itself. I don't think that has much to do with your other statements though.
The onus is on every man not to rape, of course. Nothing is sexier than consent.
I agree completely, of course, but again, I don't think it has much to do with the rest of your post.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-29 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)This is an appallingly stupid statement to make. You cannot say for sure that they don't and according to some law systems if they did it wouldn't be 'counted' or more often the male victims won't come forward or be believed because double standards.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-30 03:50 am (UTC)(link)But no, let's hear the "If he didn't want it, why didn't he fight back more?" justifications. They sound WAY different than when we hear them about women.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-29 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)Mostly true. They do occasionally engage in other socially unacceptable behavior, like stalking, murdering a perceived rival, poisoning, etc. But probably not as frequently as men rape women, I guess.
