Yeah, I know that feeling, OP. I just didn't enjoy s2 as much as s1 and I think that's part of the reason why - also the part where 90% of Haru's storyline hit too close to home for me, and then, oh, I guess everything gets solved by being dragged abroad by a BFF, cool. WHY ISN'T MY LIFE THAT EASY

everything wasn't magically solved by being dragged abroad...

it was the one thing he needed. he couldn't get it at home, the creators explained that. and it was only that specific BFF who could do it.

it wasn't easy. it just happened to work out for him. he didn't just show up at the airport ~magically healed~ it was a process.

The fact that people can only defend the writing with cries of "The creators explained it!" is a testament to how shitty it was.
