I understand that if it's those books that focus on the fae, but in at least most of the urban fantasy I read they are not the main antagonists. Or even antagonists at all. They might feature sometimes, or be dangerous to mess with or even speak to, but not as antagonists. Just because there ways are not the ways of man.

I get it. There are a lot of badly written fairy things out there, especially with the addition of teen literature suddenly thinking it's romantic, but by disliking them totally, you're losing out on a lot of good things.

Here's two series though that are urban fantasy and don't feature fairies (as far as I've read):
Kate Daniels and Alex Verus

I think that still falls in what OP is thinking. They're annoying assholes, but also dangerous so they never see any comeuppance. They're always in the story even though they're not important characters. A lot of people don't like that kind of character.
