This bitchy receptionist at my doctor's office thinks I'm some sort of hypochondriac because of how often I have to call them.

It's causing lots of communication issues, and my doctor keeps telling me to leave messages with them for her or email things to the admin account so they can forward them to her, and it just doesn't get done. I'm pretty sure based on how little is getting through that she's told the other members of staff to pretty much ignore me.

This sucks because my doctor is great most of the time about getting back to me, even when she's busy. I don't want to change doctors again because of this.

So tell your doctor your messages aren't getting through. Your health is a little more important than this person's pissy attitude.

I would have if I had actually been put through to her office at all this week.

I had to cancel an appointment since I couldn't physically get there because I was unwell, and I told the office it was very important that I speak to my doctor. Still nothing.

Wow. That's just fucking...wow. Any time you can call when she's *not* there? Or just go in? Sheesh. Definitely bring this up to your doc and maybe get a private answering service or something, because that's fucked.

My body is not being very cooperative right now. I'm going to make another appointment when I can get a shitty hire chair dropped off and try to just roll myself in there. Bitchy receptionist will probably have a problem with me using the handicap access. She's told me before she won't let me use the lift when I had my cane with me and quite clearly couldn't manage the stairs. She made me ask the person who drove me there to assist me. He also uses a cane. Lmao.

I used to be a receptionist at a doctor's office and I don't know if this helps but I would NEVER have given you that sort of attitude. Some patients just need a lot more help than others and that's what I was there for.

Yeah, I've done similar office work before and I don't get it. I mean, it might be that she feels it's unfair that she spends more time dealing with me, but in the end I'm not really creating more work for her, she's there for however many hours a day, and that's how many hours of work she should expect to do.
