Coworker of mine constantly whines about being unappreciated by management.

When management shows appreciation, he always dismisses it as insincere.

When asked what he'd like management to do, he doesn't know, but he expects them to come up with something.

He is the most high-maint, entitled, easily offended person I know who takes everything personally.

He is, of course, an artist.

Recently I was walking through an area where no one else was around, and realized there was a guy behind me. I sped up very quickly until I got to some shops.

I'm worried I was being sexist, because if it had been an eighteen year old girl, I probably wouldn't have been nervous, even though an eighteen year girl old could've ended up mugging me. WAS it sexist? Or just cautious?

I did some photoshoots for a business run by friends, just as a charity thing, made no claim to the photos. For promotional use in their business. It's a nonprofit I believe in. Happy to do it.

Business changes hands. I'm no longer affiliated with it in any way, via friend of a friend or any such relationship. Happily gone my own way, no regrets about contributing to the cause, although I have concerns about the direction the business is going from this point on.

Lo and behold, a new business is started (by whom, I'm not completely sure), and what should be the "face" of the business, but one of my photos? It's also a good cause. I would be happy to contribute to it, had I been asked to. Except for some reason it just pisses me off every time I see it. Gah.

My boss has been restructuring his business (he doesn't want to sale on amazon anymore but will start selling on wal-mart). And it is annoying because I never know what I will be doing at work on any given day.

Also, I have to go to a birthday party for my aunt on Sunday that no one mentioned until today. :< I was going to go see Mission Impossible.

Very lawyer-specific vent: My boss reflexively backdates documents when he signs them. Drives. Me. Nuts. In any other context, he would never dream of falsifying a legal document. But hey! Effective date of a week ago? Let's backdate that sucker!

Sometimes I feel like people care more about their right to say whatever they want than empathy and being decent to people.

I just talked to a cousin after a fight with their friend. Sometime ago that friend had confided in her something that people used to call her. Sometime later the cousin repeated it as part of a joke. The friend got upset, and later asked my cousin not to say that around her because it has a painful history. My cousin got furious about this , that her friend was telling her what not to say and they had their fight.

I tried explaining to her the friend's position that sometimes you shouldn't say things around people because it hurts them. But I can't seem to get past "but she can't tell me not to say that its not fair!".

It's horribly frustrating, this abuse of free speech and caring more about "but its MY right to say that ME ME ME ME" instead of other people.

Fanfiction woes

Gah it's so nerve wracking writing Snape and worrying if I'm getting it right. But I can't just get a Beta, because this is a fic I'm not sure I want to show to anyone right now.

I mean I could ask a friend who writes him pretty well for advice, but I'd be asking for several little things instead of just showing her my silly for fun only fic ideas.

For some bizarre reason, my xkit blacklist doesn't recognize the name of any young female pop singer. If I so much as see the beginnings of one more post about Nicki or Taylor or Miley I'm going to gouge my eyes out.

Utterly stupid and ridiculous vent, but Dylan O'Brien favourited one of my tweets and now I have random teens favouriting it as well as following me and it was literally just one offhand comment about not realizing Stiles = the main character in the Maze Runner because of his haircut.

This bitchy receptionist at my doctor's office thinks I'm some sort of hypochondriac because of how often I have to call them.

It's causing lots of communication issues, and my doctor keeps telling me to leave messages with them for her or email things to the admin account so they can forward them to her, and it just doesn't get done. I'm pretty sure based on how little is getting through that she's told the other members of staff to pretty much ignore me.

This sucks because my doctor is great most of the time about getting back to me, even when she's busy. I don't want to change doctors again because of this.

(I am actually the anon with the thread about my girlfriend from a couple days ago but since this is here im gonna keep venting about that but with more detail this time, because this is the only place I can vent about this really.)

My girlfriend is asexual, I am not. We have sex, but she isn't sexually attracted to me. Sometimes I am totally okay with that. Sometimes, since I have depression and pretty much no self esteem, I'm not. I don't consider this to be her fault but rather mine, something I need to work on since we have a fine sex life and everything. (And it has been less of an issue as time has gone on!) I told her this about a month ago, and I thought I made it clear that I didn't want her to change or anything, just maybe be patient with me, and at the time she said it was fine, but the other night it came out that no it wasn't and it really hurt her, but she hadn't wanted to let on cause I've been having a hard time recently. I feel like a total asshole for not realizing it hurt her the way it did, and like I shouldn't have told her at all and just kept working on it in private.

She also told me sometimes she thinks she pushed herself into having sex with me sooner than she was comfortable with and kind of regrets that, and hearing that has really messed me up. I was being very conscious of not pressuring her (and she still says it wasn't me it was just a societal thing), and now I feel like a terrible girlfriend. I'm really mad at myself and have been upset at myself for days, but I haven't told her because I know she will blame herself for upsetting me. I apologized and she says she doesn't blame me, but I just feel like I messed up and she deserves better, someone who is 100 percent comfortable with her sexuality.

I hate hate HATE it when I apply for a job via email, and hear nothing back. Do none of these people have any idea how EASY it is to set up a form reply? 'Dear Insert-Name-Here, thanks for applying for a job with us, but no. Yrs Sincerely, Whatisname'. It takes thirty seconds. Assholes.

My mom's car broke down, and she's been really frustrated and finding ways to vent it out. I just lost my job, and we're tight on money (which we REALLY need), but I wish she would stop coming at me every five minutes to poke at me and release her stress. I feel like a punching bag already.

eta: I got another one, when people ignore all the tagged warnings just to point out that the story I'm reading is fucked up and twisted like a little child going "LOOK AT THAT LOOK AT THAT FUCKED UP RELATIONSHIP LOOK AT HOW UNHEALTHY IT IS!". Like yes, thank you for pointing that out, I'm aware it's unhealthy and horrible now go away so I can read about it. Some of us like reading about fucked up and twisted relationships and can differentiate between fantasy and reality.

I've started lifting weights because I'd like to develop muscles that don't seem more appropriate for the stay-puft marshmallow man...and today I tripped on a curb and slammed my shoulder into a brick wall (and then proceeded to bounce mt head off it, but my head feels fine and my shoulder does not.)

One thing I dislike about tumblr, would have to be how much people love cartoony looking fanarts as opposed to traditional painted or inked ones. One of the reasons why I like pixiv more is because they care a little more about overall aesthetics. That and I'm not in love with western cartoons as a whole.
