Dude, theaters are dark. Better than getting caught fapping to them at home.

But I have it the opposite way. My dad hates going out to the movies but will gladly watch any action movie at home with me, so he's seen basically everything Marvel. I just make a point of having seen it by myself first so I can conveniently leave the room when there's about to be a sex scene (not that there are any nowadays. Decent ones, anyway).

*wince* Reminds me of the awkward weekend when I watched Torchwood with my dad.

Reminds me of the awkward weekend Dad and I watched Band of Brothers. AND OF COURSE THE ONLY HOUR CHILDREN ARE IN THE HOUSE IS THE HOUR WHEN WE ALL GET SURPRISED BY THE ONLY EXPLICIT SEX SCENE.

...the flailing did make it less awkward, though.

Heh, I've learned to skip the first 10 minutes of episode 9 of Band of Brothers whenever watching it with anybody.

I blame Tom Hardy :D

Huh. Curiosity piqued. Gonna check out first 10 minutes of episode 9 of BoB. For academic reasons, obviously.

ayrt

Haha, enjoy!

I'd almost forgotten about that scene! It was a good scene...

I have never wanted to watch BoB until now. I generally loathe war films (but have no problem with action/macho stuff of any other stuff) but fake sex on TV with handsome celebrities? WANT.

Band Of Brothers is like an easter egg hunt for famous people when they were babies. You will spy James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Tom Hardy, and Simon Pegg, just to name a few. It makes it extra enjoyable :D

The pain is real.

Nothing, NOTHING will beat the time when I went to watch Black Swan with an acquaintance. It was kind of for a lark, and we didn't know much about the movie.

The sex scenes were bad enough, but what really cemented the evening as Most Awkward Ever was after we left the theater, both kind of in shock, and then he turned to me and said, "So, by the way, I'm actually schizophrenic."

(Anonymous) 2015-09-14 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
Oh dear.

I don't know how accurate BS (tee hee!) is about schizophrenia but I always interpreted the film as one of demonic possession.

Yeah, I got it wrong.
