No, they won't see your posts unless they follow you. If they're worried about your posts turning up on their dashboard, they could just block you or use Tumblr Savior and blacklist you. They're being melodramatic because demanding that someone unfollow you makes it feels like they're the ones in charge and they want to shame you.
