Huh, a Journey secret.

Yeah, the lack of players is sad. I'm lucky in that I got to go through it when it still had players, though I haven't touched it in a couple years.

It's still the closest thing we'll get to a new Team ICO game though, at least for now.

I've always wanted to play this, but it's restricted to console? It looks so pretty

Yes, it's a PS3 exclusive (maybe on the PS4 too now? I have no idea, I don't have one). It's actually one of the reasons I finally decided to pick up a PS3 (along with Last of Us). So worth it.

It's been a while since I last played it, so I can only guess at how few people play it these days, which would definitely be a shame considering how nice it was to just pal-around with someone in it.

I don't get it... I've played it, and I found it boring as hell. how can it be fun to "pal around"? All you ever do is hop and slide and call.

i would play it if i had a ps3

tbh it is the only real reason i want a ps3

Same here, OP.

I thought it being re-released on the PS4 would bring more new players in but doesn't seem to be the case. I think on my last playthrough I only met one other player the whole time and they just...stood there. Not even mediating like they were paused, just stood there, never responding to my beeping. It was kinda spooky!

Really? I haven't played it for a couple years, but the players were the best part of that game for me.

The first time I played it, I actually hadn't realised that the other character wasn't an AI, so I having all these emotions about that poor "bot" losing their scarf ("Why didn't you follow me—NOOOOOOO!"), thinking there was a secret minigame by beeping at it ("Ding." "Da-ding?" "dingDINGdingdingdingdingDIAgn :D ♥♥"), falling off an icy ledge and looking up at the dinging patient fucker way up there that has no choice but to follow me back down. And yet, this same character still waited for me at the end, even coming out to meet me as we faded to white.

And then I read about the game and realised man I must have grinded that dude's nerves!

Then there was the player I met up with while trying to get all the achievements. I forgot to switch off the wi-fi, and I was in the level that requires you to set off various ribbons to climb a bridge in a particular way, so I was a bit tense about this new person about to ruin EVERYTHING. Turns out this dude just walks up to me, sets off the last ribbon in just the right way, and I completely understood that they were just like me. An achievement whore :') That guy was the best. We did EVERYTHING.

tl;dr i liked this game for the multi.
Maybe you should look for players to go online with you at the same time? I'd be up for that at least, if just to play the game again.

I played this over the the weekend! I was trying to freak people out by tripping my character in the sand and waiting for someone to come by, but no one did. Then of course as soon as I got up and moved on, someone showed up. I met three companions my last journey, so there are still people playing!

I actually want to start playing, as my dance troupe is going to dance to the theme in the spring.

I still play it but only single player. It's stupid, but I worry that somehow I will manage to do something and just ruin what an amazing experience Journey is for the other player.

I should play this one again, I haven't had a good run at it for awhile. Of course, I just packed up my PS3 because I'm moving in a month, so it will have to wait for a bit :(

Oh man, Journey really is a journey. I thought the idea of meeting another player online with limited communication without knowing who the user is until the end was brilliant. I remember the first one I met: the person actually helped me achieve a lot of trophies because they knew I was new. The second one I finished most of the game with together. The third I helped him or her get trophies because the user was new.

I just thought those were amazing experiences. I'm very shy about playing online games because the prospect of meeting rude people and having them shout at me during gameplay is daunting for me. For Journey, it worked so amazingly and the experience was better for it.

I haven't played since I made the switch from PS3 to PS4. I think about going back so often though. Such a beautiful game.

I hate this game. I hope it dies.
