I'm pretty sure it's not harmless. Last I heard, the number of deaths associated with building the stadium was over 1200. And they're basically treating foreign construction workers like slave labor.

I thought the number of deaths had risen to 4,000 already? Or was that the estimate until completion?

It might be 4000. I haven't kept up on it so I went with the last one I was sure I heard. I wouldn't be surprised if it was much larger.
