You will never find cheap coffee in Japan. I'm sorry. It does not exist.

Thrift/consignment exists, but usually the cheapest clothes are to be found in boutiques outside of train stations in the ONE SIZE category. You can find some crazy interesting fashion in Japan but you really have to hunt if you want deals.

Yes it does, at local places. Starbucks and such, no, it's always going to be expensive. But you can get a filter coffee for cheap at many mom and pop type places.
