When I was at Walmart today, I left something I decided not to buy on a shelf rather than putting it back where it belongs. I am sorry, Walmart sales associates. I completely understand if you hate me and want me to step on a lego right now.

Petted a cat that always tries to follow me around. He was on his porch, and I went up and petted him, and then he tried to follow me as usual, but it was raining and he ended up kind of pissed after running through the rain for about a block.

It was unintentional. But I got my grubby little paws on a book four days before its release date.

A couple of days ago I saw an article about small, independent bookstores. I printed it out and took it to the small, independent bookstore a block from where I work. I figured they might enjoy it.

Fast forward to today. They called and said the book I ordered came in early. They weren't supposed to sell it to me early, but since the hurricane was coming and I was so nice, they won't tell if I won't. So I got a book before the release date and I'm bragging about it. Mwahahahahaha!

I drowned 18 fleas from my cat. I never kill insects, but the fleas need to go, I can't have my home full of fleas' eggs and poop.

I also bought lots of frozen vegetables at the same time, but it's the store with the pineapple-flavored pop, so I bought some, it's practically a rule.

There's a bad heroin-use epidemic in my city right now, and I live in a neighborhood that isn't necessarily the nicest but certainly not "bad" (lots of families with little kids) that's starting to see a lot of junkies coming through (we're close to a highway, which makes us easily accessible), leaving dirty needles and trash everywhere.

I saw a guy shooting up just at the end of the street in broad daylight, and it's like all the frustration about the situation boiled up in me all at once and I very nearly unloaded on him. I've never had violent thoughts like that in my entire life, but every fiber of my being wanted to scream at him to just shoot every dose he had and kill himself.

I walked away and called the police instead. I'm not sure he even noticed me. But I've been shaken all day about just how strong and violent my thoughts were at that moment. Rationally I know this guy's an addict and needs help, but for a second there, I honestly wanted him dead. I feel awful.
