Also, There was a woman who decided to live as a man for a year. in those male on;y spaces her findings were interesting but not unexpected, but the most telling thing is that she needed therapy afterwards. Males only spaces are proven to be actively harmful to women.

Those male spaces might very well have been harmful and toxic.

I'm talking about the more general claim that male friendships inevitably end up being toxic.

Where do you think male only friendships flourish? What do you think feeds those spaces? Hell, look at fraternities, the name literally means a brotherhood.

Well, I'm a man, and I've had many one-on-one, heart-to-heart talks with my other male friends (as well as with my female friends), and I haven't noticed them being especially toxic - certainly, the ones with men no more than the ones with women. It's honestly really difficult for me to see how my close personal friendships with other men, who I love, are toxic, rather than being the kind of human connection that is necessary to a well-lived human existence.

I'm open to the idea that there's something I'm not seeing, but it might help if you would explain the precise source & nature of the inherent toxicity here.
