I don't often use the word shallow, because I feel it's an insult used far to often against women. But this is pretty shallow, OP.

Are you high? I've only ever seen it used against dudes. Hell I do use the word, and I only use it against dudes. Mostly because they are shallow, but still. Do you mean it's an insult erroneously used against women? I could see that, but as an insult in general it sits fairly in the dude-focused category.

I...I feel like you're from an alternate dimension or something. Shallow is, in my experience, an incredibly gendered term, used almost exclusively about women. It basically goes right along with ditzy and vapid.

If it weren't a word that feels almost inherently gendered, I would feel a lot better about using it, but it's constantly being used to describe women's interests, women's opinions, women's behavior, etc.

Whoa. So... you don't live in the dimension where women's attractiveness is their primary source of value because that's all men care about amirite ladies? Dang. That must be pretty cool.

da - How does that contradict... you know what, never mind.

NA Are you high? Shallow is a word used all the freaking time by sexist men and judgy jealous women about women when they express attraction to men based on anything other than their *adorable* personalities. Women are shallow and just want rich men. Women are shallow and won't choose a nerdy guy like meeeeee. Women are shallow sluts who judge a man by his dick size. Women are shallow because they are self-interested. Women are shallow because they want to look sexy/wear makeup.

Oh my god, THANK YOU. Other anon's comments were really kind of freaking me out. Like, where is this person FROM?

SA Oh, and for the record, while I do think it's rather shallow to base ones interest in a person almost entirely on that person's dick size, I don't think OP is a "slut." If a woman likes big cocks, I say rock on. But if a person goes from stanning so hard she calls herself a Cumberbitch, to refusing to go to one of BC's shows with her friend, simply because he doesn't have a big schlong, that's pretty shallow. And maybe OP isn't shallow about most stuff. Maybe it's just her interest in BC that was shallow. Who knows.
