But I don't see why we need to shove her into a role not made for her. Make a new film, don't twist existing films.It does a disservice to the James Bond franchise, and it does a disservice to her.

Getting more women of color roles is a good thing, but parity will be achieved much quicker if we can also take roles away from straight white males. Increasing column A is good, but how about increasing column A by decreasing column B? The goal is to achieve equilibrium, but to just make it slightly less shitty to be a woman.

I probably wouldn't be able to get into it since I've kinda been imagining the last handful of Bond films to be part of the same continuity, and I'd just be wondering when and why Bond decided to get a sex change, so I don't think I'd watch that movie. But it would be awesome if someone decided to make a new lesbian spy franchise. As long as they don't turn the lesbian part into a gimmick.
