None of my current OTPs. I don't think people would like the pairings as much if they were canon (which they wouldn't be since Tolkien didn't write a single gay pairing and would be horrified by the idea of shipping dark lords or of creepy noncon ships). Half the fun is exploring beyond the text and coming up with stuff that doesn't contradict canon but expands on it.

Any femslash, cause a canon femslash pairing is the only way to get a decent amount of femslash fanfic in the fandm.

That's not entirely true. There are two ways: have a canon pairing, or be in MCU (see particularly Peggy / Angie and Jemma / Skye)

That said, I still agree, both because I want an infinite amount of f/f fic, and also because, you know, the existence of canon LBGT relationships is good in itself.

I agree. I don't really care enough to say I ship it, but if it had happened I'd definitely be down for that.

Clark/Lex. I didn't ship them back when I watched the show, but in hindsight, yeah, I would have LOVED if they wanted to fuck each other the whole time.

Maybe Dean/Cas? I haven't really seen much past mid Season 4, and I'm not actually a Destiel shipper in any real sense, and yet...I totally get why Destiel is such a thing, and I think the SPN story would be really great if Dean and Cas just sort of fell hard for each other and then had to navigate that.
