i really, really, REALLY wish that filmmakers would stop assuming that

WEIRD = CREEPY SEX STUFF

It doesn't have to and it makes so very sad every time I see that. I want to find the weirdest possible movies I can find, but they really don't have to have creepy sex stuff. That doesn't make your film "weird" and "innovative" if the stuff is there just to be "disruptive" or "challenge people's opinions." At that point, you're just being gross. There are so many so-called strange films I want to see, but I first have to do in-depth research to find out if it's just creepy things happening to people's bodies before I can watch it, and that inevitably lessens the impact of these movies that I would like to go into blind.

Be Sapphire and Steel, not Eyes Wide Shut.

So, how's everyone feeling about the Texas arc? Campfire scene was amazing and I can't wait for the Maya/Lucas slow burn that's about to happen.

I'm a complete newbie to the genre that has no idea what exists out there.

Do you write fic? Are you an artist? Do you make fanvids? Cosplay? Fanmixes? Critical analysis? Icons? Or are you a silent particpant?

I'm dying for some Hiccup/Astrid (HTTYD) and Carrot/Angua (Discworld) porn. Paheal turned out quite disappointing, Deviant Aart contains too much tame stuff to wade through, my search engine didn't find any... do you know some hidden gems I'm missing?

Still hanging on in fandom (just) but the sting of a really vicious, detailed and personal reply here a while back to a fandom opinion I expressed (not a personal attack in any way, just an opinion), essentially saying that all my fandom contributions were total crap, never really went away.
